The legendary Hotel Kämp, part of the Finnish group Kämp Collection Hotels, becomes a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd

Hotel Kämp, part of Kämp Collection Hotels and located in the heart of Helsinki, has played an important, cultural role in Finland since it opened in 1887. The hotel has been the home to heads of state, celebrities and influencers for over 100 years and was founded before Finland became an independent state in 1917. The hotel sits at the gateway between east and west and architecturally brings Parisian flair and European elegance to Helsinki.

The prestigious hotel has 179 rooms and suites, including the 258 sq.m Mannerheim Suite which has its own private sauna, as well as a spa, two restaurants including YUME offering contemporary Asian cuisine, and a bar and summer terrace. There is also an impressive art collection with 450 pieces of artwork showcasing the breathtaking diversity of Finnish contemporary graphic art.

In January 2016, the Kämp Group introduced its new corporate identity, which also involved renaming the group as Kämp Collection Hotels. The start of the year also featured the launch of an extensive international recruitment campaign to find top managers for the hotels. The new strategy aims to strengthen the positioning of the luxury and lifestyle hotels in the group’s portfolio and the membership of Hotel Kämp in The Leading Hotels of the World is an important step in the new direction.
