C’est Rouge! the first original Faena production, makes its grand debut at Faena Theater this month. Blanca Li, world renowned choreographer and stage director, designed the performance to showcase the outstanding ability of the human body, and the awe-inspiring show will add an astonishing and seductive flair to Miami Beach and Faena, consolidating its role as the creative hub in Florida. Extraordinary performances by vignettes to Latin American and Jazz rhythms are designed by septet band, allowing C’est Rouge! to fuse entertainment, sexuality, humor and beauty.
Alan Faena has brought together the finest creative talents for C’est Rouge!, fusing them to produce an unforgettable experience for guests. Blanca Li worked closely with a select cast of dancers, musicians, singers and acrobats, tailoring their acts to highlight each of their individual techniques and talents, all enhanced by the exquisite costumes, the latest technology in video and light design, and a masterful selection of music, inspired by Latin, Jazz and R&B classics. With Christian Louboutin for footwear, Fifi Chachnil for lingerie, Laurent Mercier as Costume Designer, Erik Halley for costume accessories and hair by Oribe, the performers will dazzle. The scene has been set by Director and Choreographer Blanca Li, Artistic Director, Dani Morla and Set Designer Rafael Olarra, while Tao Gutierrez was cast as Musical Director, and Charles Carcopino for video.
C’est Rouge! invites tourists and locals to experience this remarkable show in an unforgettable setting: the 3,000 square-foot Faena Theater can seat 150 people and provides an unparalleled venue to enjoy live performances. Designed by Alan Faena, the intimate but stylish setting evokes the grand style of European opera houses, juxtaposing it with the glamour of 1950’s Miami. The glamourous space is marked by gold-leaf and red velvet decor, a dramatic curtain, and a gorgeous statement chandelier.
Past Faena Theater performances include the venerable South American artists Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, electrifying songwriter and musician Grace Potter, alt-synth trio Miike Snow and R&B sensations Andra Day and Miguel. C’est Rouge! marks the first original production for Faena Theater.
C’est Rouge! doors open at 9:00pm and show begins at 9:30pm beginning 4th June 2016. Tickets for the show begin at $45 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.com. For additional information please visit www.faena.com and watch the trailer here.
