With Scandinavia hot on the destination radar for 2014, Scott Dunn has launched its Sweden portfolio with an array of unique itineraries to suit families, foodies, keen skiers and adventurous explorers alike.

Scott Dunn’s new offering allows guests to embrace every aspect of Swedish living. From traditional activities including dog-sledding, snowmobiling and ice-driving to some more quirky experiences such as tree saunas, lobster safaris and sleeping in a UFO at one of the most unique design-led hotels in the world, Scott Dunn can create a truly adventurous itinerary to discover Sweden the intrepid way.

Rane River - Lake Vitträsket - Harads

This Swedish Lapland trio itinerary is perfect for the adventurous with safari style camping to chic tree-house living. The journey starts with a stay in a snug laavu tented camp at the edge of a frozen lake, after which guests will venture on to a charming guesthouse before finishing up in their own tree-house. In all three locations guests will have ample opportunity to spy the Aurora Borealis plus experience a wide range of activities including a Northern Lights snowshoe excursion, a thrilling snowmobile ride and taking a dip in a wood-fired bathtub in the wilderness. Guests will further enjoy local delicacies including smoked reindeer and arctic char.

A 5 night itinerary is available from £1,895pp based on 2 nights at Aurora Safari Camp, 1 night at Sorbyn Lodge and 2 nights at the Treehotel and including return flights, transfers and selected activities.

MIDNIGHT SUN HELI-SKIING IN SWEDISH LAPLAND

Björkliden and Stockholm

Heli-skiing in Swedish Lapland is arguably a ‘must do’ for confident skiers seeking a new thrill and unforgettable adventure. This itinerary allows skiers to heli-ski under the midnight sun in mid-May while embracing thousands of square feet of untouched snow and to further embark on winter wonderland adventures including husky-sledding and ice climbing, before heading for sheer luxury at Ett Hem – one of Stockholm’s finest boutique hotels.

Stockholm – Kolarbyn – Stockholm Archipelago

This family-led itinerary combines the capital city of Stockholm with an adventure into the wilds of Sweden. Guests will stay in rustic log cabins, forage for berries in the forest, hear wolves howl as night falls and spot moose before returning to an exclusive luxury camp on a private island to soak up the beautiful surroundings and enjoy activities including sea-kayaking and sailing.

An 8 night itinerary is available from £2,805pp based on a B&B basis in Stockholm, full board stays in Kolarbyn and Island Lodge and including car hire, boat transfers and selected experiences.

A CULINARY JOURNEY ALONG THE SWEDISH WEST COAST

Torvsjön - Gothenburg - Fjällbacka

Ideal for the ultimate foodie, this itinerary celebrates the very best of Sweden’s west coast dining – renowned as being one of the best areas to sample outstanding seafood. Guests will embark on a lobster safari and then revel over the fresh catch at dinner, as well as exploring some of the country’s most picturesque seaside villages, including Käringön, to learn about the oyster cultivation before sampling a freshly picked variety along with some champagne.
