PINE CLIFFS WELCOMES ANNABEL CROFT TENNIS KIDS ACADEMY

This May, the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy will debut at Pine Cliffs - one of the Algarve’s finest family resorts - to provide an exciting new addition to the resort’s usual tennis programme. Running twice weekly with Scott Dunn’s Explorers Club, children aged between 5 and 13 will have the opportunity to participate in coaching sessions run by the highly qualified Annabel Croft coaches. The academy will also offer children between the ages of 3 and 4 the chance to try their hand at the sport, creating tailor-made taster sessions that will run once a week filled with action packed racket and ball games. Former Wimbledon and Australian Open Champion Annabel Croft heads up the academy, which is run by a team of 14 professionals coaching over 1,000 students every year.

Pine Cliffs is home to a total of 5 floodlit tennis courts - 3 hard courts and 2 red clay - which are all in fantastic condition and suitable for players of all standards. The courts are set among the natural beauty of the resort with pine trees and local landscaping providing a wonderful backdrop to a game, and just a short walk from the resort accommodation.

The academy will run with support from Scott Dunn’s Explorers Club qualified childcare experts. The club runs action-packed and fun-filled days that combine unforgettable experiences with the highest childcare standards. Scott Dunn Explorers; Globetrotters (4 months – 2 years), Adventurers (3 – 4 years), Voyagers (5 – 7 years) and Pioneers (8 – 13 years) will learn about and make the most of the destination itself, which is a core part of the Explorers experience. Pine Cliffs is Scott Dunn's most established children's club and boasts superb activities and qualified nannies who organise fun and exciting activities whatever a child's age. These include mask making, cooking classes, games in the pool and trips to the marine zoo. 

Pine Cliffs Resort is perfectly suited for families as it includes large residential areas, which are located close to the 9-hole golf course and tennis courts. The resort offers fantastic childcare facilities with the addition of two pirate ships, swimming pools, activity areas and sandy play areas, offering parents a chance to take a step back and relax. The 6km Falesia beach is only a walk away, which offers a choice of water-sports and a fantastic beach club.

Scott Dunn also runs clubs at Daios Cove in Crete, Verdura in Sicily and Almyra and Anassa in Cyprus. There are two further Explorers Clubs in the Alps (Val d'Isère and Courchevel 1650), the recently launched Explorers Club at Soneva Kiri in Thailand and a new club to open this summer at the Sun Gardens Resort in Dubrovnik. 

Scott Dunn offers a 7 night stay at Pine Cliffs from £800 per person, based on a family of 4 staying in a 2 bedroom comfort residence on a self-catering basis. This price includes flights and private transfers. The Scott Dunn Explorers children’s club is priced at £250 per child over 2 years for 6 days – including lunch, snacks and tennis tuition as stated above.
