CHARTER TIGER BLUE IN REMOTE INDONESIAN WATERS AND VISIT THE UNDERWATER VOLCANOES OF NORTH SULAWESI
This autumn Tiger Blue – the phinisi sailing yacht based in Indonesia - will be chartering in new waters in North Sulawesi.  The trip goes from the very northern tip of Indonesia and up to the border with Philippines, just north of the equator.  The trip leaves from Manado - an area famous for muck diving and viewing octopus which change colour, rare frogfish and pigmy seahorse.  Stop in small islands offering unique habitats – in the heart of the coral triangle, nursery for fish, usual fish species. The real pinnacle of the trip is visting the submerged volcano of Banua Wuhu. Located beside the island of Mahangetan, part of the volcanic island chain of Sangihe, Banua Wuha rises more than 400 meters from the sea floor and is less than five meters below the water's surface.  There is no risk from lava -- instead, the underwater volcano releases ribbons of silver bubbles -- sulfur gas -- escaping deep from inside the earth's crust.  The deeper divers go, the volcano's barren sulfur-covered rocks give way to coral reefs and an extraordinary display of marine life, including huge barrel sponges, black tipped reef sharks and schools of neon fusiliers. The volcanic activity makes the water warmer with even more diverse sea life and prolific coral including large colonies of hard and soft corals. Throughout the year Tiger Blue journeys through Komodo, Sumba, Flores, Banda, the remote Spice Islands up to North West Papua and see the dramatic landscapes, coastlines and natural history of this magnificent archipelago.  As well as unrivalled cultural and historical interest, these areas are surrounded by the richest seas in the world and offer superlative diving, snorkelling and adventure. Customised itineraries, dive trips and specialised family holidays make this the ultimate sea safari. Tiger Blue is a 34 metre long Phinisi Schooner sleeping up to 12 adults.

ALL EYES ON NEPAL THIS AUTUMN WITH TWO NEW LUXURY LODGES AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET CLOSER TO NATIVE WILDLIFE THAN EVER BEFORE…
This Autumn, Ker & Downey will expand its successful portfolio further with the launch of two new luxury lodges in Nepal. The first of the lodges to launch will be the Landruk Bee Lodge, which is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, lying in the north west of the country and is often regarded as having the world's best trekking routes. Scheduled to open its doors this October, what makes this new lodge special is its location. As well as offering views across a cluster of hidden villages and shadows from the towering peaks above, the lodge is set within close proximity to the cliffs where the honey hunters – a group of villages who climb cliffs to collect wild honey – operate. Although this has been a cliffside tradition for many years, only two groups in Nepal offer visits to these cliffs where the honey is being harvested. A second lodge is also scheduled to launch inbetween the hilltop settlement of Bandipur and the Seti river this November. While exact plans are still yet to be unveiled, what the lodge does promise is spectacular views on a clear day from Dhaulagiri - famed as 'The White Mountain' and seventh highest mountain in the world - to the Khumbu glacier. Elsewhere, in Chitwan all restrictions have now been lifted meaning game drives and wildlife sightings can now take place in the heart of the Chitwan National Park, enabling wildlife enthusiasts to now be much closer to the action than ever before. The recently launched Karsara resort or Tharu Lodge, which has unveiled new tents in which to 'glamp' in the grounds, offer prime accommodation for access to the Park. For tiger lovers, a trip to the Bardia National Park, situated in the west of Nepal, is an absolute must with tiger sightings currently on the up making it a superb time to visit. The newly renovated Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge meanwhile provides the perfect base from which to explore from.
