Sam and Beth Hardwick and The Swinton Estate - the founding partners at the award winning Bivouac at Druid's Temple, the luxury camping and cafe destination near Masham in the Yorkshire Dales - have announced the appointment of a new management team.

Graham and Heather Raine will be taking on the running of the site from 1st August. The Raines have a strong track record in the hospitality business, having run The Hare at Scawton, Oswald's Restaurant with Rooms (Yorkshire Life Newcomer of the Year) and, most recently, the cafe, delicatessen and shop Raines of Helperby (Flavours of Hambleton Awards Newcomer of the Year & Outside Caterer of the Year).

The change of management will see longer opening hours for the cafe, with dinner served every night apart from Sundays, and a new menu. Many of the popular activities and events for families, locals and outdoor sports enthusiasts will remain, but also with shorter and more flexible bookings available for accommodation in the yurts or hand built woodland shacks.

The Swinton Estate, who are the principal investors in the Bivouac project, will remain at the helm, with Graham and Heather Raine forming part of the management team for the Estate operations which also include the luxury castle hotel Swinton Park. "The Hardwicks have designed and built a beautiful and unique venue at Bivouac, and their vision has been inspirational", commented Felicity Cunliffe-Lister for The Swinton Estate, "We wish them all the best with their future developments. We are really looking forward to welcoming Heather and Graham who have a great following, and their sense of style and professionalism will be a great asset to the venue."

Sam and Beth Hardwick are moving onto new adventures, looking for the next thing which they can create and give as much passion to as they have with Bivouac at Druid's Temple.

Beth Hardwick states "We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been a part of this project from the beginning five years ago. This is a special place which we hand over to Heather and Graham and wish them and the business much success. We will miss life on the hill but excited about what might be next."
