Designed for those looking beyond traditional piste skiing for a ‘bucket list’ experience, the new Powder White Pure Ski Touring package will offer both adrenalin seekers and wilderness hunters, the chance to get up close and personal with the majestic mountain scenery of the Three Valleys.

Leaving the comfort of a Powder White chalet behind, guests will venture into unchartered territory on a once-in-a-lifetime 24 hours guided trek and over-night stay in a traditional French refuge, only accessible on skis.

Guests will learn the art of using ski climbing skins from a local guide, heading deep into the Avais Valley for an afternoon trek through stunning crowd-free ski fields, seeing the popular resort of Courchevel from a whole new perspective.

As the sun sets, the group will reach the Refuge du Grand Plan, set at 2.300 metres between the little Mont Blanc and Lake Merlet. The former cheese factory is now home to rustic dormitory accommodation, plentiful servings of Savoyard wines and, true to its roots, hearty helpings of Fondue for cold and tired guests. After a night of stargazing, roaring log fires and pure mountain air, guests will awake to a blissful solitude and sunrise over the peaks before enjoying long descents and fresh tracks back to resort and the comfort of the chalet.

A seven-night Powder White Pure package costs from £649 per person including six-nights fully-catered in Chalet Aigle d’Or, 24-hour touring ski hire, an avalanche pack, guided ski touring and over-night stay in the Refuge including dinner and breakfast.
